Hexagon Box pop up card

Hi today is my Dads Birthday so i have made him a pop up card. I used the High Tide and Big on Birthdays stamp sets.

To make this beautiful card I have used

Stamp sets - High Tide and Big on Birthdays Die cutters - Square framelits and Window Box Thinlits. Inks - Night of Navy, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Perfect Plum, Green Garden, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry (you don't need to use all these colours)

Card stock - Whisper White, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate. I started with cutting out with the box frame from the window box thinlets. I cut it so there was extra at the end of the box. I then put the box part of the card together.

You will need an elastic band for the pop up mechanism.

I used Ink and sponges to created a background scene of mountains and a mystical sky. To create the background I have used whisper white card and a sponge and Ink technique. I masked areas using sticky notes so I did not get ink onto those areas I didn't want. I made the moon, a horizon and mountings using sticky note paper. I used several different tones and colours to create this effect. For the Sea I used the stamp in the High Tide stamp set and use several different blues to get this effect. The land I first stamped in crumble cake and then over the top in Smoky Slate.

I stamped my lighthouse and light beams onto a separate piece of card and cut it out and raised it on the card with dimessionals. if you would like a full video on making this card let me know.
