Card Inspiration Journalling page #5

Hello crafters, today I'm Sharing a rainbow inspired page for page 5, this Page mixes the techniques of watercolour and heat embossing for a fabulous resist.

I was inspired to add this card into my journal from a previous project from my Altenew Academy AECP - Final Project, (Read the blog post here)

I loved creating this watercolour rainbow card so I thought it would be a great one to share with you and have in my journal.

If you don't know what I'm up to, I had this idea that I wanted to create a reference guide for my card making, so this could be in combination of stamps, layouts, Ink and paint colours so on. So I decided to create my own style of journalling where I can create a journal that inspires me for my card making, then I would always have a reference of stamps, inks, stencils and other items I have used for a project. I am calling this Card Inspiration Journalling.

This is page #5

Using a floral stamp to create a resist background in White worked really well, then creating the rainbow effect with my inks, I found that the distress inks blended really nicely. If you have any different stamps such as a different floral would work really well in this style of layout, also instead of doing a rainbow you could do a ombre with one colour.

If this is something that interest you why don't you give it a go too.

I really love the stamping together stamp set, this set really lens it self to water colouring and it has some fabulous sentiments. This particular stamps set was given away as a free gift for those who attended the stamping together event run by Stamps by me. If you have any other similar stamps they would work just as well for this very simple quick card.
