Good afternoon crafty people, today I'm Sharing a Blue and gold inspired page for page #6, this Page mixes the techniques of Stamping and heat embossing for a lovely gold finish. For this project I am using some fabulous retired items from my stash from Stampin Up, it's always good to go back and see what stamps and other items you have that you haven't used for awhile to inspire you to use them again.
I was inspired to add this card into my journal from a previous sample I made using some Ranger products.
If you don't know what I'm up to, I had this idea that I wanted to create a reference guide for my card making, so this could be in combination of stamps, layouts, Ink and paint colours so on. So I decided to create my own style of journalling where I can create a journal that inspires me for my card making, then I would always have a reference of stamps, inks, stencils and other items I have used for a project. I am calling this Card Inspiration Journalling.
This is page #6
Using a floral two step stamp to create part of the background and adding the lines to one side works well. I love to use heat in bossing in all different ways so adding the trim to the card with that sparkly gold finish it's gorgeous and then adding the gold really thick to the die cuts make them really pop out. If you have any different stamps such as a different floral would work really well in this style of layout, also instead of having a two step stamp you could just water colour a floral outline stamp, to create the lines you could use a stencil or a marker.
If this is something that interest you why don't you give it a go too.
This is the card I created using the Ranger stamp set and heating embossing kit. You can really see the resemblance between the card and the page so it can easily be made into a suitable card for someone you love or can easily be reproduced in batches for your craft stalls. This is a fabulous simple quick card.
