Modern Cards Using Tim Holtz Hipster Stamp set.

This is a fun and modern card that works for all occasions. You can choose any of the images in this stamp set and do this same fun technique for some fun cards.

You will need:

  • Tim Holtz Cling Stamps - Hipster

  • Tim Holtz Tiny Text Stamp Set

  • Distress Ink Pad - Vintage Photo, Stormy sky, hickory smoke and speckled egg

  • Tim Holtz Bricked Stencil

  • Alcohol markers

  • Memento Ink

  • Blending tool

  • Acrylic block

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • 6”x6” card base.

  • Black Cardstock

  • Stamping Card

Step 1 Ink up the Tiny Text stamps set with Distress ink hickory smoke, lay some stamping card cut to 5.5” x 5.5” on top of the stamp and smooth over to transfer the ink to card.

Step 2 Position the Bricked Stencil over the stamped text, use a blending tool to ink with speckled egg, reposition the stencil, then ink with Stormy sky. Go round the edge of the card with Vintage photo, this will frame the back ground. Mount on to black cardstock.

Step 3 I am using the cat stamp from the Hipster stamp set, you can choose any from this set. Ink up the stamp with memento and stamp on the stamping card, also do the same for the words EPIC, OMG and SWEET.

Step 4 I am using the Ink Lily markers to colour the cat, I am making him ginger. I start with the 23 Orange pen and go over the areas where there would be shade, I then go over his face with 24 Marigold to blend the colour. I use the same process for all of the colouring. I have used BG7 Blue grey for the darker areas and then BG1 Blue Grey to blend. For his tie I have use 3 Roes red and then 4 Vivid red.

Step 5 Fussy cut the cat out and trim out the words. Mount the words on to some black cardstock. Position the words and cat, then stick into place with some foam pads.

All finished
