Time to start something new! Card Journalling? #1

Updated: Aug 31, 2023

Hello and welcome to my creative crafty space, I have wanted to do something like this for a very long time but have not been able to figure out how, what, where, when, why and all of the above.

What is card journaling? This is my concept of journalling It is a mash up of card making and mixed media journaling but the important part is that you log everything you use in your log it book. My log it books are available the links are below in the post.

I had this idea that I wanted to create a reference guide for my card making, so this could be in combination of stamps, combinations of layouts, Ink and paint colours and I was so unsure how to do this until I got a little into journalling.

So I decided to create my own style of journalling where I can create a journal that inspires me for my card making, then I would always have a reference of stamps, inks, stencils and other items I have used for a project. I am calling this Card Journalling.

If there is is something that interest you why don't you do it to.

I started with some basic supplies that I already had such as stamps, inks, so on and added a dylusions journal books, I chose these as I like the way they look although I'm not entirely sure that I will use this for my next book as I'm not sure the size is quite right for me but they are lovely books that come in lots of different options from plain paper squared paper craft card and I think lined but you could use any journaling book that works for you.

The way I have laid out my journal is on the left page I put the recipe of what I have used in the project and on the right hand page is the actual project.
