Love card making with Crafty Kelly

Happy Friday Crafty People!

Spread the Sunshine with This Rainbow Card, I hope you are having an amazing Friday. Today's inspiration is a rainbow card using my stamps from the lightbulb moment collection.

I wanted to create a card with fun, rainbow watercolors coming out of the lightbulbs. I combined heating embossing and watercolor inks to create the vibrant colours in this project.

This card is quick and easy to make, but the fun sentiment, "You bring light to my life" makes it impactful. This can be really uplifting for someone who needs a pick-me-up or just to acknowledge how someone is a positive impact in your life. I chose rainbow colours, but you could equally do it in one solid color or alternate two of your favorite colours!

Below you will find a list of instructions, and the products I used. In the below video is today's project, Hope you enjoy.

Here are the materials I have used:

Here's how to make the card:

  1. On watercolor card, start by stamping the two types of lightbulbs alternately across the card. Stamp in black VersaMark ink, and then cover in clear embossing powder and heat set to create a resist on the lightbulbs.

  2. Next, choose five rainbow colors from your favorite ink range to paint the lightbulbs. Smoosh the ink pad onto a craft mat so that you can lift the color with a paintbrush. Leave to dry.

  3. Stamp the sentiment onto stamping card, trim down, and mount onto black cardstock.

  4. Lastly, mount the project onto black cardstock, adhere it to a card base, and attach the sentiment with some foam pads to give the project dimension.

This is a fun and quick card that is perfect for any occasion.

I hope this inspires you to create your own quick and easy rainbow card! If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
